Where does melanin go

With whitening products, the skin turns white, but do you know where melanin is going?

Generally speaking, melanin metabolism has two pathways:

Percutaneous skin exclusion:

The melanin transferred to keratinocytes gradually moved to the cuticle as the epidermis grew, and finally fell off with the periodic replacement of the cuticle.

Therefore, the use of skin-glowing acidic products can accelerate the metabolism of aged cutin, indirectly help the melanin metabolism in keratinocytes.

Kidney exclusion:

Some of the melanin is transferred from melanoblasts to the dermis. When the cells transporting the melanin are engulfed, they enter the blood circulation and are eventually decomposed and removed by the kidney.
